Stitched Owl brooches and necklaces

We've made some cute stitched owl brooches and necklaces!

There's only one or two of each of these as we have a limited amount of each of the colours. But if you like them as much as we do then we'll make another batch!

Brooches are £30. Necklaces are £35.

These are also made entirely from acrylic off-cuts from a local school's DT department. Most of them have exposed surfaces, so we've sanded them smooth to remove any micro-scratches, which gives a lovely finish.

We've used some vintage flower beads and wooden beads for their lovely big eyes.
And for the 'feathery' detail on their bellies, we've used some little glass beads and tiny metal stars, both of which Ruth has had since her childhood in the 80's.

The beads are all stitched in place through little holes that we've drilled though the acrylic.

The owls measure approx 8cm tall. The brooches have a safety catch brooch pin on the back. The necklaces have a 50cm silver plated chain.

**These look a bit like toys, but they're not suitable for young children!!
