Dangly Vintage Glass Bead Earrings
We've made some super long, dangly earrings using some vintage glass beads that we came across recently, coupled with some little acrylic discs that we've made for the studs.
Choose between bright pink and black acrylic discs! We have enough to make 6 pairs of each colour.
The bead drops were attached to the clasps of the necklaces (to hang down decoratively at the back of the necklace, and act as part of the clasp - see photo here) but we thought they'd make lovely delicate drop earrings!
They are quite long(!) measuring approx 8cm long (including the acrylic disc).
You can see how low they hang in the modelled shots here.
The studs are stainless steel, with a stainless steel butterfly.
We think these bead necklaces are from Japan in the 50's and 60's, and are white milk glass beads.
But we're not sure what the different metals are that have been used for the wires/eyelets connecting the beads together......but they have lasted at least 60 years, so fingers crossed the materials are stong enough to just hang from your ears prettily! : )
